My 80g mixed cichlid family tank

The reason why I have so many cichlids is purely because the LFS said he will sell them at R10 ($1.30) each only if I take all of them. So obviously I started my new cheap big cichlid family. Maintenance heavy, but I luv them.
My Cichlid tank at night

And closer view by night. My plastic plants can never stay buried. My cichlids dont like them when they are buried, so they dig them out as soon as I have buried them

And by day

Beautiful fish but an uprade is in going to be needed very very soon. Those frontosa's are going to get huge....But that's why we put big fish in small tanks when they are young :).

If I told my wife that I needed another tank just for the frontosa's she wouldnt let me buy them in the first place. Now that I have them, she luvs them and agreed on another tank. I am already busy building a tank just for my frontosa's. They will soon be on their own. Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful fish. Next big tank I get will either be cichlids, or salt water, more than likely cichlids.

Really nice, healthy looking fish you have there. I agree with jeaninel, you're sneaky but in a good way! I love your set up and look forward to seeing your next tank!
