Clown Loaches, need some advice

Hey everyone,
So my clown loaches are in hiding during the day and dont come out. Than the minute the lights shut off hey come out and explore all through the night. Last night I dropped in an algea wafer and they went crazy over it. And the lights just shut off again, and of course, they are out right away.

So, when I feed my fish in the morning they arent out, and dont eat the flakes when I feed them, because they arent out. So I dont know how they eat or anything, besides the occasional algea wafer. And I cant just make it on schedule to feed my fish when the lights go off. Do you think they will just have to adjust to coming out when the lights on to eat? Any advice is appreciated!

Fish can easily adjust to the schedule of feeding them.:)

Why freak out when fish can adjust anytime to eat foods you give them?

i believe clown loaches are nocturnal, which means they are most active at night ..its a best bet to research any fish that you plan to buy before you buy them so that you wont run into to any issues like these. perhaps you could try feeding them right before you go to bed in the evening. try turning your tank light off an hour earlier every night, and waiting for an hour to feed them...good luck!

Trust me Bri, you can ask anyone that I've known threw these forums such as blue and brie that I have been researching these fish for probably 4 months. So dont get me wrong, but please dont assume things even if you trying to help. I know these fish are nocturnal, which is why I said that my clown loache's come out at night. I dont think that I'm going to feed my fish in the evening when the lights go out. If they want to eat I guess they will just have to adjust. I was just a little concerned ATM when I wrote this thread about them, and still am.

Thanks Blue!

clown loaches are are nocturnal but are very shy. so some time for them to fit in.http://www.tropicalfish.site5.com/ubb/wink.gif

They sure are. Well they arent shy when the lights go off in my tank lol. They have to be the first to get a bite of the algea tabs.
