Fish Profile for Banjo Catfish (Bunocephalus coracoideus)
Hold it in your hand and they croak and may play dead.
Usuallyfound around 4" long and could start it/them in smaller tank.
how long could you keep it in a 30 gallon tank if goten small
IMHO, and im no expert, but i think if you get them small enough you could keep them in a 30 for a little while atleast. They say that the MAX size is 6 inches.....if you do get one or a pair, just use your better judgement, if they grow at a fast rate them you know you will need to upgrade a lot sooner. If this is the case and you can not upgrade as quickly as they need then you may need to rehome them. But again, im not an expert and some one who may have more knowledge on this then me may chime in with different advice......if you get them be sure to post pics!!
I googled what your catfish needed and according to my research those bad boys need about 20 gallons. Those types are normally easy to adjust to any environment so i guess you shouldn't worry about placing them in a 30 gallon environment.

thx for the info
