Help, I think my platys fry is stuck half way out.
My platy is having her fry, she has had her first baby (shes in a breeding container) but the second baby has been hanging half way out of her for the last half and hour, is this normal?
i wish i was on earlier... how are things now if you need to its ok to gently net her and pull the fry out...... hope all is well keep us posted sorry no one answered you earlier....
Well only 6 out of around 20 babies were "normal" some were stuck together like simese twins and others were not fully formed, I have no idea why they were like this as we only got her a week ago from the fish shop, sadly mumma also passed on today too, we have put the surviving ones in the tank with lots of moss and plants so lets hope they survive.
I'm so sorry to hear you lost her and some of her babies! Maybe she was an older fish? I have an old swordtail that is starting to have some stillbirths.
