Loreto tetras
 

Hey all. So I was at my lfs and they had these fish. I am not finding much information online about them. I think the only site that had something was seriously fish. Has anyone had these guys? I know just about all the tetras,danios,rasboras,etc need at least 15 gallons...but I am trying to find something that can go in my 14 with my false julii corys. They need a dither fish of some sort,they are quite shy since I moved the danios out. If I can get away with 5-6 of some tetra for them thatd be great. I was suggested hatchetfish,I will look them up next. :-)

I've had this fish, a bit quieter than some of the tetras. Quite delicate and sensitive to water parameters and quality; most fish in the trade are wild caught. I personally would not have a group of these (need to be in a shoal of course) in a tank less than 24 inches length.

Ah okay thanks. You are everywhere on this forum Byron lol.

I have my "haunts";-) but you won't find me poking into things like marine:shock: or (very rarely) disease. I only comment from personal practical experience or research, in the hopes that my mistakes and limited knowledge may help others avoid my pitfalls.

lol. I look at the marine area once in awhile (just to look at the pretty tanks). Well you sure are helpful to those areas you do post. :)
