More Cichlid ID challenges. Please help 1 Attachment(s) Can anyone ID the bottom two fishes. Their shape is similar to the Krobia South American cichlid, but not sure. Does anyone have more detail? |
Don't quote me,but top photo looks very much like yellow labidochromis. Bottom two look very much like some rainbow cichlids I once kept but I am not certain. |
i'll agree with 1077 that the bottom two do look like rainbow cichlids-herotilopia multispinosa |
I searched more pics and have to agree that they are rainbow cichlids. Thanks. I bought them without knowing what they were due to the fact that the LFS asked R10 (South Africa) for both, which is less than 2 dollars for both. Actually I bought over 40 cichlids from the same LFS, ranging from big to small for R10 ($1.70) a fish on condition I took them all. Ive had them for 8 months now and started ID them. Thansk for the help so far. |
check this pic out it looks alot like them also just smaller http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...928&pcatid=928 |
Yes it does, mine is however a more dull yellowish colour. If you compare it against the yellow labidochromis in the photo you can see the dull yellow Im referring to. |
No, not Salvini. Salvini have two blotchy dark lines running from the eye to the tail and approx. 4 horizontal lines across the forehead. I'm thinking they look more like the Rainbow cichlid. |
I think they resemble Jaguar chichlids, possibly a tad Green terrorish..... The Green Terrors are Grand....I must say. |
