fish are bullies?

Hi my tank has been going for about 5 days now, I have 2 zebra danios and 2 marble mollies. I've noticed that the bigger of each species seems to chase around the smaller of that same species, and the smaller swims away quickly and tries to stay away for awhile. The smaller danio and molly both seems to be fine, they don't look sickly or anything. So do fish just bully each other? They only bother the fish of their same species, the molly doesnt bother the danio, and vice versa.

They establish pecking order within their group. It is wrong to buy one or two.
I'd replace the mollies with 2 more danios. Mollies will proliferate easily and cause you problems by overstocking your tank with fry. Not to mention that livebearer fry are good hiders and your danios will not eat all the fry.

i have three danios, a swordtail and a platy...and the last two seem to be pretty peaceful, but my danios are a handful, and quite disturbing. they are all three different sizes, with the largest one with flowy fins chasing the other two, and the medium sized one chasing the smaller one, but then they all gang up on the platy and swordtail and it makes me mad cuz i like them better...i think i might take the danios back....

And I have 'prejudice' fish! I have 2 black mollies and one dalmatian mollie, and the dalmatian mollie is always swimming alone :(

You will need more than just 3 danios.http://www.tropicalfish.site5.com/ubb/wink.gif
Danios are sociable and will establish pecking order within their group. You'll need 6 to allow them to peck each other instead of the other fish.
