I have seen my Oscars sleep they sit on the bottom corner next to each other and just stay still its weird first i thought something was wrong but after seeing it a few times I came to the conclusion they were sleeping.

Since they don't have eyelids, they "sleep" by just being inactive.:)

ok...so if my platy sits in the bottom corner then she is just sleeping? it was like 2 in the morning...and when i woke up the next day she was fine...swimming etc...
Here's a story for ya
I woke up in the middle of the night one night, and saw my guppy upside down against the glass on the bottom of the tank!!!!! I didnt know what to do so I just got the net out to get him out and than I touched him and he swam away....scared the crap out of me! So therefor....he was sleeping
