Dude.......Thier has only been 19 posts since you started this thread.....Be patient someone will haave some answers for you......

It would help if you would list your water parameters and tank size and temp..........I would be hesitant to add anything to your tank till you found out whats going on with your JD.......Is he still in the main tank or did you quarantine him?.........I, myself dont add salt to my tanks for any reason, unless i have a severe Ich outbreak, and then only after i have raised the temp to around 81 for a day..........Salt is very hard on some species of fishes........

Post your tank parameters and you will probably get better responses for your issues.....

Good Luck!

55 gallons and he is the only showing any signs of anything the others are normal and were normal when he was acting this way i knw he has a low immunie system due to being so small so no he isnt quartine hes with the rest everyone in awhile he twitchs or maybes hes scratching against the air filters not sure but the tank is extremly clean

Fishin Pole 11-03-2009 04:25 PM

The scratching sound like it could be ammonia or nitrite poisoning, but without knowing your water parameters it tough to say........Clean water cant stiil have ammonia present.....How long has your tank been setup?........When did you do your last water change and how much?......

southamericancichlidguy23 11-03-2009 04:31 PM

about 20 gallons out the tank i had serious cleaning to do poop was stuck between alot cave rocks thanks to my rude oscar lol tanks been set up for atleast 4 months or more

Fishin Pole 11-03-2009 04:34 PM

im trying to help, but if you cant post your water parameters, its useless to keep guessing whats going on in your tank

southamericancichlidguy23 11-03-2009 04:34 PM

why is he the only one being bothered why are the rest completely happy and normal the fish store told me that he probly has a parasite and to put copper safe for 50 gallons in and put salt aqurium water hes showing improvements but hes still twitching alittle not close to how bad he was the first day im tryin to figure out how long before hes completely cured and from now on im doing only 10 gallons at most

molliefan09 11-03-2009 06:58 PM

we need water params before we can even guess at how long or wht it is.....some lfs employees dont know what they are talking about, sometimes they tell you to do things so you spend money or just simply because they themselves are GUESSING at a problem with no proof or knowledge. just because the other fish are ok doesnt mean there isnt any problem with your water......the best investment you can make for your aquarium is a master liquid test kit! API makes a good one and you can probably get one for $35.00 at the one is going to be able to help with out knowning your water params!!!!!!!!!!!!
