salt in the freshwater aquarium isnt the smartest to do. can lead to all kinds of problems that WILL shorten the life of the fish along with their health.

southamericancichlidguy23 10-26-2009 11:08 PM

really no kidding i didnt knw that so i will stop putting that in wut about the aqua safe

MoneyMitch 10-27-2009 02:07 PM

i bought some aquasafe at walmart and use it for w/c and my fish are still alive so it works i would assume. if you want more infomation on why not to use salt in your aquarium send byron a pm about it. about your OP try to get a pic of the spot.

if I am not mistaken Ich is not the size of a nickel, it is rather pin head size....and if the case is bad enough, and around the fin area, their fins will even stick to the body, and they will look as though they have trouble swimming, but I may be wrong, been a long time since I kept freshwater, but I did have more than one case of ich.....and some pretty decent remedies that work are out there on the market.
anyways....good luck !

yea its gone already i dont knw wut it was not sure but right now im kick my self for not going salt water i want weedy sea dragon sooo bad

MoneyMitch 10-28-2009 09:56 PM

just goes to show, theres no need to throw all kinds of chems into your tank at the first sighn of something going wrong. usually i let nature take its course for a week or so then if its still a problem then i start looking into meds.
