I am setting up my tank for lake malawi african cichlids. Would you guys recommend a stocking list for my 92 gallon aquarium.

I would start with yellow labs for SURE maybe 5 or so of them then i would get a livingstoni cause they look cool and i havent had any aggro problems with them. When you go to get johannis get them last as they are one of the most aggro africans. get the less aggro in there first then work to the more aggro ones.

If it were me and if you didnt want fry ( baby fish). I would get all males. Or all females. About 8 fish for your tank. and Read up on them and decide. As money said labs are a good pic. They do breed good if you want that. But the Livingstonii do get aggresive. and play dead to eat smaller fish. Not to bash You Money, but he might of got lucky with his Livingstonii. I would research before you get any Cichlids. Also you will want lots of rock work and sandy bottoms, most all cichlids will, i mean WILL dig. They can tear up your tank fast. So you will not want to many plants as they will up root them. When they get larger sized to adult size. Just my imput!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the help. What is your guys take on mixing peacock cichlids with labs and johannis. since people say peacocks tend to be less aggresive is this a bad idea?

Well you can add anything to gether. But who knows the out come till you do try it. Or if some one else has tryed it. Me personaly i wouldnt tho. Here are a few you could go with. Auratu's, Red Zebra's, Demasoni's, Yellow Lab's, Johonni's, Mpanga. Ect. thos would all get along with eachother.
