so i have a 6 inch oscar just got a 1 inchs oscar and they are so close after just 5 hours its amazing always together ones normal oscar other is long fin tiger as u can see in my picture next to this message

How is your tank coming along now? I'm surprised that the much smaller Oscar introduced into the larger Oscar's territory is not being picked on.

I don't believe sexing of Oscars is possible by looking at them. Hopefully you have yourself a female though! Are you hoping to breed them?

you can "roughly sex" any fish some by marking and some by fin shape. unless you vent your fish you cant be 100% sure. (but i do not recommend this)

no the big oscar is protecting him every second of the day little one doesnt get hurt at all plus the firemouth is to busy making the pleco life miserable and bothering my beautiful jd

here is pick how close they are right now in the tank its like the big oscar shieds the little one and the little one his tiger and the big one isnt lol the little one is so close they rubbing each other side

aww my firemouth just went to attack my big oscar and he shielded the little oscar with his body while he smacked around the firemouth

if to oscars are really close 247 does that mean there is a good chance they are male and female

dunno, if your really looking into breeding them and finding out what behaviors mean what (dont mean to sound like a @@@ here but do a google search on tiger oscar breeding behaviors, it will come up with lots and lots of info for you. or you could always go to the library and see if they have any fish books.
