oscar by the heater

hey why is my oscar and the little oscar i just got both hanging by my eater the tank is 84 degrees it isnt warm enough they need to hug the heater any answers

84 is way to hot for them and they will stress if you leave it like that overnight. Get a therm and place it on the opposite side of the tank and let it acclimate for a day or so. After you do this post what happs and what temp the therm says.

my tank is in the basement aswell, i keep it at 78 F and have no problems. maybe that is just where he likes to hang out.

my oscars also like to hang out around the heater, it's just something they like doing.
