Java fern grows under most light but should be attached to wood or rock as opposed to planting it in substrate. Could this be the situation? |
i wil get params as soon as i can. bu yes it is attached to a fake peice of driftwood. there were some things that i took off of the plant yesterday. like a hard green dot with brown like spider legs coming off of it |

A picture will really help, as it will give instant diagnosis. |
The brown spider legs are typically the roots of new plants forming. As the new plant get bigger the leaf it's growing from will brown and die to kick the new plant out of the nest. Java ferns are suppose to be easy to grow. Ferts would be helpful if you're using CO2. |
