I got 6 corys about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I have read that it is fairly common behavior for the corys to swim up and down the walls, which they all did at first. Now all but one have calmed down. They will all casually swim up and down at times, but this one swims up and down very frantically. And when she does stop, she is "breathing" very fast. She seems to spook very easily too, even for little things like me walking by the tank, or me moving in front of it to look at my fish. Is this something I should be concerned about?
I do not know my exact water parameters, but I had my LFS test my water today and they said everything was good (So i assume 0s across the board). It is a 29gal tank... need to know anything else?
what else do you have in there with them?
I have 6 corys, 9 zebra danios, 2 siamese algae eaters, and 1 angelfish.
I know that may seem like a lot, I thought so too. But my LFS said I would be ok, at least for now because they are all still pretty young (nothing over 1.5 inches). They did recommend increasing my filter size sometime in the future, right now I have a Whisper 30, they suggested I get an AquaClear (I think?) 70.
My cories do this all the time, it probably just chases it's reflection and then "pants" afterward.
It's probably fine
