Back in the game
I am new to the site but have several past years experience with tropical fresh water fish. After several years off I now have two tanks, a 10 gallon and 2.5 gallon. The 10 gallon was setup on Oct 5th and the 2.5 gallon was setup on Nov 18th.
The 10 gallon is fully cycled TODAY after weeks of painstaking water changes and the 2.5 is in the beginning stages of cycling.
I have been reading a great deal of posts on way to combat out of control N levels and they have been of great help.
I'm going to try to post my joyous experiences received from this hobby and hope you all will enjoy.
Welcome to TFK
I usualy am not the forst one to welcome people..i feel special:lol:..
seems that most people that have been fish keepers and take time off for what ever reason ...always come back to it... this is a gret site.. helpfull to all levels of talent.. enjoy!
College, Girls, and then life was the reason for the time off..Now with two boys with the interest for fish the hobby has returned. This time I will get to teach them what not to do in order to keep a great aquarium.
Welcome to TFK! I've been an active member of different aquarium forums since 2003 on and off as I've picked up and put down the hobby due to moving a lot.. I have never been to a genuinely kind and informative forum before coming to TFK.. The other forums I've joined were very critical (not spending as much time helping people learn as they are concerned with bragging and insulting people's lack of knowledge), I almost didn't decide to join a forum when I got back into the hobby from my past experiences. My experience here has proved me otherwise. I'm sure you will find all the information you need, and if you ever can't find something - post it up.. We have a lot of good and educated people here and a reference team that will guide you whenever you are having difficulty or require any information that may be hard to find on the web. Don't forget to post pics of your tanks.. It's like they say.. "If you don't post a pic it never really happened!!" See you in the forums!
youll love it here. i agree with uncle that most fish forums are full of braggers and confrontationalists. TFK is somehow totaly different. welcome.
oh yeah... please view the thread "is fishkeeping a disease?" and put in your two cents; its my fav thread going right now!
I'm trying to resist the multi-tank urge but am slowly losing. Ha!
Lol enablers are a good thing....I know I'm not the only one with the issue.
:redyay:loooooook intooooooo my eyesssssssss…you willlllllll buyyyyyyy moreeeee tankssss
hello and welcome to a hobby that makes you laugh, makes you cry,and nicks
