Name this blue cichlid please
 

Just trying to help out someone who wants to sell two of these but doesnt know what they are. Any help would be great =)

some sort of African i think. might even be a cross breed too. google it and see what you come up with just search pictures.

or a socolofi. You may want to go to livefishdirect.com and check out the african cichlids. look at the pics. I hope this helps.

looks like a Pseudotropheus socolofi to me........I agree with Mollies.....

I believe ya'll are correct, looks like a socolofi to me also..

Here is what I think .. about your fish..
I have alot of socolofi's and they look like the first pic...
your pic looks more like the second pic.... which are COBALT BLUE's

Just thought I would say my 2 cents

i have to disagree, respectively......if you look at the first original posted pic, the fish has black in the fins with the exception of the dorsal.........i suspect the fish in the pic to be a female socolofi.......The cobalts that i have always seen lack any dark defined colors in its fins, such as your second pic of the cobalt blue..........Then again we are both looking at pics and not the fish itself...........

ok The fish in the first pic of this post is a male socolofi Just my opinion. He maybe lacking all the color due to Stress, lighting Ect, the pic of the cobalt blue fish is much shinnyer then his or her pic so that would leave me to still belev it is the socolofi.
