Texas Cichlid With Spot On Nose
I have a male Texas Cichlid that has a spot on his nose. I think its from him rooting around in the gravel and such trying to build a nest but I'm not sure.
Its looks as if he has rubbed his scales off right there.
How should I go about treating this?
Ok, so I put him in my 10 gal quarantine added a small amount of salt and 2 1/2 tsp of Dr. F&S Neutralize (which is like Stress Coat).
I'm thinking of getting some Melafix and PrimaFix to dose him with.
What do ya'll think????
One of my cories had something similar once. Looked like he scraped his nose. Just do some extra water changes to keep the water clean and keep an eye on it. A little Melafix and Pimafix is ok if it looks like it's getting worse.
Cool. Thanks for the info
As long as your water quality is good then you shouldn't have a problem.
My firemouths get scrapes like that on their faces all the time, nothing to worry about really.
