Juwel Filter System Standard
hiya. has any1 got this filter? it comes with my new tank but i already have an external one which is a fluval 104. dunno weather to use both in my new tank or just have one. and is the juwel standed filter any good? :?:
The juwel filter system works very well...The only time I would change anything is when keeping lrg messy fish, I would then add an external that is capable of a tank twice the size...As to the 104 if you have it already then use it along with the juwel.(you can never have too much filtration)
Agree with Derek, The 104 will push thru summat like 500ltrs per/hour. Which Juwel is it ? :) and what fish matey ?
dunno just says standad. wat ever that is
Well what are the measurements of the tank dude? :)
121 x 62 x 46 cm
So it's a 300 ? they normally come with the jumbo, What fish? :)
wats the jumbo. better not be ugly. anyway the fish i got are
7 tetra type fish (look the same as a neon but a light brown instead)
3 silver plattys
3 silver sharks
3 geroamis (cant remember how to spell that)
1 red tailed shark
Juwel filters are designed to be suitable and adequate for the tanks they come with, and by the stocklist that filter will cope fine. With a turnover of 500ltr p'hr the 104 will not be adequate for your 300ltrs. I would always go with 3 times the litreage of tank for a filter. So conclude  Use it if you want BTBH is it really worth it? :D
ill proberly use both i spose.
