pregnant in 5 days!!
ok so my neon swordtail previously gave birth 5 days ago. she was not big yesteray and her gravid spot wasnt big. today her gravid spot is bigger and she is fatter. could they she show that fast?
today she has red poop hanging from her does that meen something good or something bad? she is way more bigger today and i can see little dots in her gravid spot?
wow she is suddenly skinnier what the heck happened?
I am sorry biokid101, have not kept swordtails myself, so not a lot of advice to give.
The water test right for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates?
What other fish are in the tank? Is it possible that she had the fry, and someone ate them?
i have 3 cories, 4 swordtails(3 female 1 male), 2 red flame gouramis(male and female hopefully)1 angelfish,and a pleco. does that help?
yea this fish is going insane or something!! she is getting fat and round one day then skinny the next i dont know whats wrong. she has a big gravid spot and she is round right now. what is this? is this normal? and i havent seen any fry for the past week. thats the last time i saw fry =( if i would have known to take it out i would have but my tank is deep and it was on the bottom? im so sad='(
Not sure what would cause her to up and down in size from one day to the next.
My mollies get bigger and bigger every day, then about once a month they drop their fry and are small again.
It is possible that she dropped fry and you missed it. The angle could have made a snack of them. Possible swordtails will eat their own fry, I would have to read up on it.
yea i get it but i got her one week ago exactly and she was pregnant which is why i got her. the next day she gave birth in the morning. but none survived. now shes bloating up again maybe she just didnt hvae all of them. any suggestions?
The water test ok?
Can you post a picture of her? Does she look like a pregnant bloated? Any raised scales?
i cant post a pic of mine but ill try to get an internet pic that looks like her. today she actually does still look bloated but not huge!! no raised scales thank god. and the water test is OKEY DOKEY anything to say?
