Marineland In-Sump Skimmer
Does anyone have any experience with this skimmer?
It will fit well with the space I have available. I am looking at the 300 gallon model for my 150 gallon reef tank.
I was also looking at the C-Skim 1200, because I can use it outside the sump, but not have to hang it. Opinions? Reviews?
p.s. - I haven't been on in a while because I got married three weeks ago and went on a two-week honeymoon to Florida/Atlanta! I have great pics of the Atlanta Aquarium, and as a honeymoon gift, my wife got me the backstage tour of the aquarium! While everyone was taking pics of the fish, I was popping pics of the huge skimmers and reactors...my wife kept telling everyone that I was HER nerd, lol. I will post the pics the pics soon, but my laptop was fried when I got home and I need to get it fixed first. ;-)
I have not used the Marineland skimmer at home, but I have seen it in action on several other systems and have been impressed with unit. I would personally buy this skimmer without hesitation. It has everything I'd want in a skimmer for ease of maintenance, and appears to produce a high quality skimate.
I have not used or seen the C-Skim 1200.
I am actually more interseted in the Marineland, I think it is more suitable for my restrictions.
Did you purchase the Marineland? I want to know your opinions after using it at home.
