my DIY fry tank FILTER. what u think??
i have a small fry tank and decided to make a filter. all i used was,
scrubby sponge, carbon, hair ties, pvc pipe, small plastic cup, airrator and air stone.
i cut the middle of the scrubber sponge and unrolled it. taking out the sponge in the middle. i cut a section of this off and tied one end closed. then added carbon and tied the other end.
then put the carbon in the bottom of the cup. add ur pipe sticking out an inch or 2 above the cup top.and stick the the rest of the sponge netting around the tube. and add some gravel to top it off. (optional)- i cut another piece of netting off and used hair ties to put over the top so that if the filter gets knocked over it doesnt spill rock everywhere!!!
there u go!!! a nice fry filter customized and made my way! lol!!! tell me what u think or what u would change??
woah thats nifty!
how come the sponge thing starts off red but is blue in all the other piccies?
i already had it tore when i decided to make a post about it. i have a bunch of diff colors so i put one in for the photo!
