Cory Cat keeps jumping, freaking out

Our cory cat, Arc, keeps running up and down the walls vertically, and occassionally jumps. Lately he doesn't seem to sit on the bottom very much, and seems very stressed. :( What do you think is wrong, and what can I do? He doesn't show any symptoms of being sick..

Cories are a shoaling fish and need to be kept in a group (3 is the absolute minimum) in order to feel comfortable and thrive. It's quite possible the stress of being alone is finally getting to him.
How long has your tank been set up and what are your water parameters??
Is this tank stocked as it shows in your signature line? If so, IMHO your tank is heavily overstocked. This may also be what is contributing to your cory's behavior.

I concur fully with kymmie. Corys when stressed by something will very often behave as you describe. For instance, when first acquired, or if moved into a different tank, this is common behaviour for a day or sometimes several days, which is sipmly the fish's way of saying "I'm not happy." Allowed to continue, stress can cause health problems and bring on disease and parasites that the fish would otherwise be able to fight off or avoid.

Byron.

I agree with all of the above. Would aslo submit that cory's don't appreciate warmer temperatures that Betta's enjoy.
