My calcium in 1000 ppm!?
I just tested the calcium level in my tank and, if the test is correct, it would be at 1040 ppm. I have the API Master Reef test kit and it took 26 drops to get to the blue color. Um, did I do something wrong? Is it harmful to have calcium that high?
If this were correct your water would precipitate calcium, causing the water to appear to have snow fall. Your test kit is faulty, or perhaps you did the test incorrect or with dirty/tainted test tubes.
+1. Try to run the test again. What brand are you using?
With the api reef testing kit, 26 drops means 520 mg/L (ppm) your just a tad high not 1024 ppm. Are you using the carbonate hardness (km) chart?
try another brand test kits... and compare
