My Garden Pond (slightly image heavy)
Dimensions: 5'x5'x3' (water depth: around 2 feet)
Capacity: Approx 250 to 300 gallons
Flora: Water Lily, Dwarf Papyrus, Gotu Kola, Vine (local name "Celia"), Palm centerpiece
Fauna: Common, Comet, and Shubunkin Goldfish x8, Bristlenose Pleco x2, Assorted Livebearers
Filtration: DIY bucket filter powered by Rio 1100, Plants
Date finished: April 2009

I'm aware that it's a bit too small and my pump's not that strong. But I haven't been encountering any water parameter problems. Most probably due to the plants. I've noticed that the vine's roots have grown real long and tangled. It provides a perfect hiding place for the livebearer fry.

Yours truly:

I hope you enjoy my humble set-up. Comments are greatly appreciated! :redyay::blueyay::greenyay:

I love it! Nice fish. What a sweet pond you have. I really like the tropical feel (love the tropics!) it gives me and your space looks so tranquil. You've done a great job. :-D

Thanks! Well, I am in the tropics so... XD

Glad to know you loved it! I could say our garden is a tranquil space in the midst of a concrete jungle. I live smack in the middle of the city. The high-rise buildings only are only walking distance away.

In the middle of the city?? You'd never know it by viewing your garden area and pond. What a great retreat from the madness of a city. Fantastic!

Thanks, everyone.

Yeah. I'm surprised how they've grown. Diet is Hikari Oranda and Wheatgerm daily, veggies weekly, and frozen bloodworms every month. Feeding schedule is 2 to 3 times a day.
