BABIES and your Rock
I to am curious to know what kind of BABIES you have?
and also curious as to what kind of ROCK you have as well
that looks alot like the rocks I have and I have not found out
what the name of the rocks are...
if you know.. Please fill me in.. lol....

teddyzaper 09-19-2009 09:57 AM

i think its lava rock or coral rock. they are baby convict cichlids.

Lava rock
HHHHHMMMMM you know I do have several pieces that are kinda big...
and they dont weigh all that much... you know I bet they might be
Lava Rocks.....
has anyone had any problems with these style Rocks in their tanks?

and I guess you could go to the local Land scape company to pick
some up.... ???? any thoughts?

ONCE your convicts had babies.. did you remove the adults or the babies?
or did you seperate them at all.....

teddyzaper 09-19-2009 08:47 PM

um ya u can get them at any lfs. i didnt move anything in the tank but i added cover so that if the parents get abusive there is some fake plants that they can hide in that the parents cant get. some of them are already hiding :P

I have not had the dwarf onion plant, only the regular. The regular one has a bulb. The bulb has to be half above the gravel, otherwise it will start to rot. Does the dwarf have a bulb?

teddyzaper 09-20-2009 10:50 PM

yes it does have a bulb. i can see that the bulb is trying to wiggle its way up out of the gravel. ill stop pushing it back in
