Help! Y in the world did my kribeniss...!
Y in the world did my kribenis i think it's a male but reasetly he has killed and eaten 2 cardnal tetra's 2 betta's 1 male and killed the female didn't eat, one guppy and i had to freiz the other one. Y!!!!!!!!?
RIP dead fishy's we'll miss you =(
There are a few reasons why a male kribensis would turn on the other tank mates. In most cases male kribs tend to get a mean streak when the female is about to give birth or they are defending their fry. Kribs are great parents and will defend their mate and/or fry relentlessly. Sometimes you might have one that goes AWOL (in this case yours) and attack the other occupants of the tank. Unfortunately you didn't catch it in time or some of your fish could have been spared. If such an event happens again I would recommend that you immediately quarantine the aggresor. Give him a week in a separate tank, devoid of other fish, and then reintroduce him to your community tank slowly.
I'm sorry to hear about the casualties and I hope you can get everything straightened out with your tank. I hope my info helps.
Is as Ptrain says. Is also normal behaivor for many cichlids to eat smaller fish whether mating, spawning.
there wasn't a female in the tank. What do i feed him now
i'm not sure he's a krib now i think he could be a stripped cichlid
I don't know how to post pics
Still He's not eating and reseantly he's be hiding in the filter which is a tetra 10-30 internal filter?
