Female Betta Fish In 10 Gal.

Right now I have a 10 gal set up with 6 peppered corydora catfish. I would like to keep some female Bettas in there with them. The tank willl be a planted tank, how many can I keep in it?

The safest way, would be to only to keep one, females do not always work out together.
If decide to get more than one, get 3 or 4 females. Having more than two, helps to distribute aggression.

With that many cories you could probably only keep one. Otherwise you'd need a group of at least 4 and I think you'd be overstocked with that many.

Male bettas can't be kept together, ever. Females, however, can be kept in a soriety provided that the tank is large enough and that there are at least 4 of them. With three you take the chance that two will be forever pestering the weaker one. With four you spread out the aggression. Just an FYI ;-)
