what behavior to look for??
My female guppies look very pregnant. The have already started to square off. How do they behave when they are ready to drop? My last one had babies before I even knew it and she died http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/im...milies/cry.gifthe next day or two looking still very pregnant. The only thing I remember was she stopped eating but I noticed it too late. Any signs I can look out for to let me know when they are readyhttp://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/im...s/dontknow.gif? I would like to see it this time. Thanks much
from my experience they don't behave that much differently. Maybe shying towards the cover of plants now and then. the whole birthing process takes a while, so she will be swimming around constantly.
The signs I always look for is her breathing may be more rapid than normal and her vent more dilated. Sometimes you can see the baby's eyes near her vent if you can see through the gravid spot region.
