so, would this be fine.....
so i have a 125 litre tank,
and im currently running, an eheim aquaball (for a 50 litre aquarium )
and a aqua one internal filter (also for a 50 litre aquarium)
is my filtration ok? or should i get something that will just filter the whole 125 litres with one filter?
my tank is planted and houses about 20 fish.....
personally i'd probably go with two smaller canister filters this would create good water flow and reduce dead spots. Since you have a planted tank you should be able to get away with something like two marineland c-220's (rated for 75g eacj) I really like these filters and the co stands behind them aw well.
im pretty sure you want to filter your tank about 3x a hr at minimum so you want enough filtration to be around 450-500 liters a hr. having a heavily planted tank though is better than any filter out there and you can quote me on that. to avoid a "dead" spot just get a powerhead on the oppisite side of the tank and have it flow to the other instead of getting another filter.
its gonna depend on what kind of 20 fish you have in your tank..........125 liters equals 33 gallons........Depending on the species you are keeping in the tank will determine if your filtration is ok...........20 tetras would be fine with your filtration, now if you have a community of various size fish in this tank, knowing all the species will help determine if your filters is adaquate...........Having it heavily planted is a plus for the filtration of the water.......
Is your current stock still a ram, common pleco, feather fin cat, 3 harlequin rasboras, 5 neons, 4 mollys, dwarf gourami, 2 yoyo loaches, and a butterfly fish? If so, one problem I see is with your stock is your pleco. Being a common he's got a huge bio-load and will grow much too large for your tank. I'm thinking that it's highly possible your current filtration may not be enough for these fish but others will have to input with their opinions.
