I have a 75 gallon planted aquarium. I have a few plants that require the use of flourish with Iron. Everytime I use this, my tank becomes very cloudy. I'm just curious if this is suppose to happen. I also use flourish excel, but that does not cloud my water. I just want to make sure that this will not harm my fish. If anyone is familiar, please let me know! Thanks!
its not going to harm them.
strange. I use flourish as well and my water doesn't cloud.
i did before and it didnt fog over like your saying.
It doesn't saound normal and I would think there might be some kind of reaction going on. Maybe your PO4 levels are high enough that the iron is precipitating out of the water and as it does it's clouding your water. I have no experience with it but I did see the same thing when I dosed my CSM+B which is an iron suppliment and when I had very high levels PO4 that I finally got under control. Also, don't dose the two together, PO4 and iron for the same reason. Some say it doesn't matter but others say that their plants always suffered from iron deficiencies when they did.
Do your plants show any signs of iron deficiency?
This is my first attempt at the planted aquarium. I don't know what a plant with an iron deficiency looks like. If you could let me know, I would appreciate it. Any tips anyone has I would love to hear! Thanks everyone!

I use Leaf Zone, and have had no trouble with my tanks what-so-ever. I also use tabs, which I bury in the gravel near the plants to encourage root growth. It seems to work.
