rescued catfish problem during a recent trip to my local fish store i noticed a bullhead cat about 9 inches long in a 15 gallon tank...the owned said he was dropped off in a bucket overnight and that tank was all he has available. i took the cat home and put him in my 90 gallon. im running 2 rena xp 3 and one fluval 305 canister with a powerhead for water flow. hes been eating massivore pellets and now he is huge!!!!! he is well over a foot and must be close to 4 pounds or more.. he is outgrowing the tank and i was wondering what to do now...any ideas? btw..he is aggressive as all hell! he is tolerating a 12 inch pleco.. for now. im gald i saved him but im starting to worry now lol |
You could post an add in the classifieds or list it on Craigslist. There are a few people with big tanks that are into the "monster fish". |
i had given him to a friend but i got him back when he wiped out an entire pond lol... i may upgrade to a 260 gal that i saw and just go with the whole natural habitat. id love to see how he would thrive in a larger setting |
Keep an eye out on Craigslist for a large used tank, some great deals sometimes. |
thanks alot for the help....ill post a pic of "bruno" when i get sut up in the forum.. its my first day |
Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to your pictures. |
I'm also looking forward to pics of Bruno. I just love catfish! :-) |
Yay for you not releasing it into the wild! Hooray for responsible pet ownership! I saw some of those "monster fish" tanks and by golly, monsters indeed! I wouldn't dip my hand in there carelessly, that's for sure. Good luck with caring for Bruno! |
Cant wait to see pics! |
