9.5 Gallon Aquarium - Stocking with Mollies
I say 9.5 because I have a 1/2 gallon vase in it with a Betta. Would three-four Mollies be okay in this tank to produce feeders for my Oscar?
I'm kinda new to fish tanks but i think you should get 1male 2females and a breeder trap. Get loads of "fine" leaved plants as hiding places that sould save some money down the road
I aleady have all of that. I was thinking 1 male and three females.
Well, Mollies can grow up to 4 inches and are really more suitable for a tank of at least 30 gallons... also, you would have to have a LOT of mollies in order to maintain a steady supply for your oscar. Maybe you could consider holding feeder goldfish in there? The housing would be temporary :s so they won't suffer too much from the cramped conditions... better than keeping 4 mollies in there for their whole lives IMO. Another option is to buy a handful of feeder guppies and let them colonize the tank. Bearing in mind that it is going to be a while before the population is steady enough to feed them to your oscar.
What about some guppies or platies?
