Anemone vs Finger Coral

I've had a BTA in my tank which was perfectly happy where it was for 3 months. After adding my skimmer, moving some other corals around, and adding some new ones, the water currents changed. Apparently my BTA found the suroundings not to its liking and began slowly moving to find some new digs.

It has settled right next to a finger coral, so closely that the tentacles of the BTA are actually entwined with the branches of the finger coral. Neither one seems annoyed or concerned. I thought this meeting of the two would result in severe stinging of the finger coral, possibly leading to infection and perhaps the need to amputate the infected branch.

I've waited all day for the fight to begin, but nothing's happened!! I'm puzzled. I will move the finger coral if the BTA stays put, but why no fight??

I always heard that my RBTA will sting and kill corals. Mine doesn't ever move but he is HUGE and constantly touches my hammer coral and my monti caps. and my green bali slimmer and also one time, my torch coral fell into my RBTA and was probably there all night and I never notice any harm done at all.:-)

ive had RBTAs kill SPS, some things go uneffected while others die. some nems will kill other nems. a torch and possibly a hammer will kill a nem as they get tangled in the torch and get stung to death.
