Goldfish for Pond.. :)
I'm probably being given a 50 gallon pond, like this: Smart Pond at Lowe's: 50 Gallon Preformed Pond
I would really love some Oranda and Bubble eyed goldfish. I'm wondering though, will the bubble eye be OK? Because they are more delicate.... And, How many would be the right amount for that pond? :-) I'm excited to get some goldies!!! :-D
Thanks a bunch!
How cold does it get in PA? Fancy goldfish should not be kept in temperature less than 74 degrees Fahrenheit. They are intolerant of coler temperature much more than the pond types. Your best bets are fantails. Fantails are a little more tolerant.
On the other hand, bubbleeyes are quite delicate and should not be mixed with rather feisty types such as orandas. The same can be said with the tosakins, celestials, tikus pearlscales and crown pearlscales
Would it work to have a heater in the winter?
