Breeding Neon Tetras

So atm we have about 16 Neon Tetras. I absolutely love these fish and i am dying to get some more....but every time i go to the pet shop they always have no stock or only a few so they are not for sale. I we are thinking about breeding them Can anyone give me some tips on how to do this exactly...coz every website we go to says something deffierent.

Breeding neons is not easy; Water parameters are critical, and light (or more accurately darkness) is important. Also, having fish that will spawn is a factor.

There's good advice at Seriously Fish, here's the direct link: http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Paracheirodon&species=innesi&id= 93

Are you breeding them just because it's hard to get more any other way? If so, can't you just have your LFS order some for you? Or go to a different pet store? Neon tetras are very, very common aquarium fish...
