fish always look a little funny after water change

I am wondering if there is something that I am doing wrong as my fish always look a little funny right after a partial water change. I just changed out about 10 gal from my 35 gal tank and of course I treated the water first, I tried to match the temp as close as I could by the feel with my hand, but the fish always seem a little off at first, ie. the danios are a little lethargic, the guppies are right at the top and the corries seem normal. They usually seem better after an hour or so, am I doing something wrong?

Hello :)
what are your pH readings?
sometimes different pH can shock your fish. Do you have any driftwood in your tank? if so it lowers the pH level in your tank and when you introduce new water it causes an impact because of the differences.

Tony is right, if the ph of the tap water is much different than the tank water, it can stress the fish.

I find water changes just scare some of my fish. Their color will fade for a while and quickly return to normal when I am done invading their home.

I dont have any driftwood. I have never tested the water right out of the tap but in my tank is 7.0

and of course the water in the tank is directly from the tap (with conditioner of course)...
