Setting up a Pond?

I know its not really the season but how would you go about setting up a small pond (such as a barrel pond) or maybe not even a pond but a water container garden? If you want fish in it do you need to attach a filter?

Thinking of setting one up this spring.

Yes you still need a pump to have a pond. You'll have better luck posting in the pond section though.

now is really a good time to do it as alot of pong equip is usually on sale!!! (sales are good :D) im pretty sure you will need some type of filter atleast something that will break the surface so that the gas exchange can occur or else your fish would sufficate. not to sure about ponds in general but im sure alot would depend on the type of fish you plan to have. i also reccomend trying the pond section.
