My "First" Tank

5 Attachment(s)
I've had 10 or 20 gallon tanks over the years, even a 3 gallon betta tank. Sometimes with success, sometimes with failure. I consider this my First tank. It is a 65 gallon and I have planted it for the first time.

What I dislike most about the tank: the large plants at the back are, of course, plastic. They are there until the others grow. Or I may replace them with cabomba (thus the plastic choices).

What I love about the tank: The two environments. My golden algae eater and green algae eater have each chosen caves and will chase each other out of their turf. I love my friendly Oto and Cory. I love my 18 neon tetras (used them to cycle). And I love my moonlight, a birthday present from my little daughter.

It's still in progress, a humble beginning...

Nice tank...why not add more plants?....anyway since it's a humble startup, you have the time to look around for plants for your tank.

I like otos and corry..but it's hard for me to get Otos here, very seldom available in my lfs....:(

Again, keep up the good work, and happy fish keeping :D

Nice school of neons. Love 'em!

I like the tank half-planted. I like looking at the rockwork. If I had more dollars, I would fill in the planted side now, but the planted side will fill in, over time. At least, I hope!

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

it's really very nice, you'll be amazed at how things will soon change
when the plants grow out a little more.
i agree the neons colour is fantastic.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm looking forward to a more "full" tank too.

I'm glad I've solved an algae bloom problem and everyone is healthy and happy.

Definitely: the bigger the tank, the easier/better it is.
