Choosing the light for the salt water tank
 

Hello guys,

I just got a tank and I am heading for salt water fish. My tank is 46 GL. My friend told me that the light bulb is extremely important since the alge is growing from it.

What kind of light do I need to buy in specific? I don't have live rock, live plants at all. My tank is for couple of clown fish, some damsels .... and I may expand next month or so for better fish (yellow tangs,...)

Since you say your not getting corals. The bulb you want is a 50/50 its 50% actinic and 50% natural daylight. This will be fine. If you want to get a yellow tang (just 1) make that the last fish you get. :D
