Adding fish to a 20 gal Community, Suggustions??

So have a 20 gallon tank that was for my 3 bettas, which now no longer reside in there. One was given away, and left was one ct male and one female, i have now moved them to their own 1 gallon bowls, they did ok in the community but to me they just seemed too stressed. I had added 6 zebra danios to it, a couple mollies, and 2 adf, and now that the bettas are out i would like to add some residence to the 20 gallon.

What kind and how many can be added to our little community, i am really wanting larger fishies maybe, and or maybe more mollies, i dont know and need some help.....

Thanks everyone
:-)
once again i currently have
6 zebra danios
2 black mollies
2 african dwarf frogs

a variety of mollies would be very cool and of course i have to say platties or guppies would bring a lot of new and interesting colors to the mix i know all of these are small but you can get quite a wide range of colors and some very interesting behaviors.. :)

Bettas of different sexes should NEVER be mixed, except for breeding. Females should never be together in groups of less than 6.

Here is a good caresheet for your bettas. They will not survive for long in those bowls.

Here is a good thread on how to keep female bettas together

Why don't you go with some Dwarf Gourmis for a centrepiece fish?

These are very pretty peaceful fish if you can find them or don't mind paying shipping:
