Cycling planted tank

Quick question on the cycling process with a planted tank. 29G moderately planted, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites (48 hours now), 0-5 Nitrates. Would the tank being planted make the Nitrates move up more slowly or is it expected to have lower Nitrate readings in a planted tank? From what I have read the plants use the Nitrates so I am assuming that the plants are doing their job and keeping the Nitrates low??

You are right. :D Plants use it up so you should see lower leves vs. a non planted tank.....

Your not doing a fish less cycling are you?

No, I am cycling with 10 Danios. I had low Nitrite levels (.25) mid week last week, but as of Sunday night I was at 0.
