How long should my otos be in quarantine
??? one has been in there for 2 days and the other has been there for 1 day. When can i move them to my main tank where they can eat some of the algae.
what kind of quarantine do u have them in?
a bare bottom 10 gallon tank with a 20 gallon filter (pumps 100 gallons an hour) And i have some brown algae covered ornaments in the quarantine
Just move them now u should be fine.
Do u have Warrenty?(I always take advantage of warrenty.LOL)
yeah 7 day but i dont think about waranty cause i would spend all my money to keep them alive even if i could just get a new one if they died. THere my pets and i have a responsiblilty for them since there living creatures :)
ya man. They should be fine.
Leave them in there for two weeks. You're not quarantining them for there protection. You are quarentining them for the protection of your other fish.
na im moving them to my big tank now, there are no signs of disease whatsoever, no abnormally big bellies, no salty white stuff on them, no fungus growing
plus there running out of algae to eat in the quarantine tank
That's easy to assume considering various diseases will remain undetected. I'd go with the two weeks rather than earlier or you might get into lots of problems soon.
As far` as running out of algae- just throw some algae wafers in there.
