How much gravel? (the board is back!)

Okay. I was reading the box my 10 gallon fish tank came in and it said 10-15 pounds of gravel. Would 1lb of gravel per gallon plus 5lbs for every extra 10 gallons be a good rule to follow? That would mean:

15lbs for a 10
45lbs for a 29
7lbs for a 5?(not sure about that one.)

Would that be an okay amount? I have decided against live plants other than Java Moss. Thanks for any comments.

pound per gallon is a good rule of thumb, plus any extra for better coverage usually works
