Cichlid lip problem?
I am fairly new to aquariums, so please excuse my limited knowledge. I have a South African Cichlid and recently his bottom lip has become abnormal looking. Its lower lip at first became almost swollen looking. Now it looks mis-shapen as if injured or possibly cut. What do ya'll think it is, and how should I treat it? Any help would be appreciated.
Please I have an issue going on that needs fixed...does nobody know anything about this problem?
would you be able to write some more information please,so that other members
may be able to help you.
what size tank do you have.
how long has it been cycled for,and how did you cycle.
what filter do you have.
what else is in the tank.
what temperature is the tank.
what and how much do you feed them.
what is your water change frequancy.
water test results.
i know i'm asking alot from you, when you are distressed, however it would help,
and if you could get a clear picture that wouldbe good too.
keep your water very clean,so secondary disease doesn't set in.
A pic would be a big help. Knowing what other tankmates this fish has (along w/ the other info Willow suggests) would be required in order for anyone to give you solid advice in regards to any treatment you should be doing.
