White Algae?

So after cleaning my 10 gallon the other day I noticed small white dots forming on the front of the tank. Is this some kind of white algae? It looks like it could be...no signs of fish infection or sickness whatsoever. Not sure how long it has been present but at least since Tuesday. Should I be worried.

If I could post a pic or water parameters I would, but a friend has my usb cable for my camera and I ran out of test strips...wont have any for a few days.

what happens if you touch them?

Good point...I used a brush and it came off...so I have no idea.

its probably a fungus, similar to the stuff that grows on new driftwood.

That could be, since I just put the driftwood in the tank fairly recently. It seems to have gone away now though.

yea, that fungus appears on most new driftwoods, some fish will snack on it and it will go away on its own after a little bit. Its harmless.
