I have a 29 gallon aquarium that needs some stocking. The current residents are 5 zebra danios, 3 corys, 2 platies, 1 bamboo shrimp, and 1 red-tailed shark. I'm planning to add 2 rams, 2 angelfishes, and 2 dojo loaches. Is that okay?

I think whether or not its too much would depend on the filtration capacity, frequency of water changes, etc. I've successfully kept far more fish in a tank than is generally reccomended for long periods of time without harm by increasing the filtration and water changes. For example my temporary housing tank (10 gallon) currenly has 5 praecox rainbowfish, 1 colombian tetra, and 6 angelfish. That's far more than is considered ok by most people however have filtration adequate for a 40 gallon tank and also do daily 40% water changes. Fish are all fine and healthy. All depends on how much work you want to put into it.
