my blue gourami is rocking?

today i got 2 young blue gouramis. i watched for about half an hour after i introduced them to my tank to make sure they were swimming fine and not getting harassed by any other fish. well tonight i noticed the will stop swimming and just rock back and forth a little bit then swim around again. they do it pretty often and i dont know if i should be worried about thier health or if this is typical behavior. opinions??

i wish i could but unfortunately he died then my other one started and he died the next day. but it looked like he was on a rocking horse is the best way i can describe it

Hmm, well obviously there was something wrong with them. I hope your other fish aren't affected. It's always a good idea to quarantine.

ive been keeping a close eye on all the other fish and nobody else has been acting strange except for my angel who is turning sideways from time to time but swims eats and acts just fine. i think he is just showing off for my other angel though

Hi There, I had the same thing happen to my Molly and Platy. They both started about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
My favorite Molly died this am. I will miss her. I went to the pet shop and asked them what could have happened. He said it's called shimming and they get that from the water being to cold. Your tank temperature should be 78 to 80 degrees. I hopy I don't lose my platy too. Both of them were pregnant. :( Good luck with your fish.
