ONe bulb out in my GLO t5 ..help
While putting my light back ontop of my 55g after cleaning my tank, I accidently banged it off the tank.
Nothing broke but when I plugged it back in, only one light came on for about 2 seconds then turned off. It did it again after I unplugged and re plugged it back in.
I am wondering if aquarium lights won't stay on unless both bulbs are working... i am hoping i didnt ruin my light.
That is genrally true. I would check to make sure the bulbs are still in their sockets correctly. But you may have to try different bulbs.
you might be better off to replace both lights, at least I did....the one light was older and the new one put off a different hue of light than the other one.
But like WisFish said, before you go out and spend $30 on two new lights, check your connections and make sure both of them are snapped into place correctly
Thank You very much, I am going to take it into the fish store we go to and try out different bulbs before making an purchases.
Thanks for the help !!
