Hi

Can anyone help me identifying this fish? Bought the tropical aquarium from a guy and he did not have the names of them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thx in advance

Top fish looks like an OB (orange blotched) Peacock........Some type of Auloncara species maybe...........

The bottom pic looks like a common plecostomus...............Google and see if they look like the fore mentioned species.........Hope i was helpful!

Yes the second one is a Hypostomus plecostomus

The first one does not quite look like a OB Peacock. (Searched Google )
It has some bright phosphor marks on its middle bottom fin.

the spots you are referring to are probably what they call egg spots on the anal fin of the fish......It will varie on how many spots they have, i have seen some cichlids with none at all.......I'm pretty sure that what you have their is some type of african cichlid and more than likely a peacock variety, hopefully other members chime in and give you other opinions
